Our supported residents have secure tenancies with St. Luke's Trust, the charity that owns the buildings and land of Gannicox Community. Rent is usually covered through Housing Benefit. Residents receive our support to maintain their tenancies.
The care and support to our residents is formally provided through the recently established separate organisation Gannicox CIC (Community Interest Company). Gannicox CIC is accredited, commissioned and funded by Gloucestershire County Council to provide person-centred social and personal care and support to our residents. All current residents living at Gannicox House have chosen to be supported by Gannicox CIC and to participate in the life and activities of Gannicox Camphill Community. However, each resident is free in principle to chose another provider for their care and support should they wish, without this affecting their accommodation and tenancy. Our arrangements regards safety, safeguarding, support planning, staff recruitment and development etc are guided by Gloucestershire County Council's Contract & Quality Framework. Our service and welfare standards are regularly reviewed and inspected by their Review Team. The last Quality Review was carried out in March 2015 and the report can be accessed through the 'Links & Downloads' panel on the right. Supported individuals who have personal care including medication support needs may decide to have these met either by an external provider of their choice or by Gannicox CIC's Domiciliary Care Service. For the provision of personal care Gannicox CIC is subject to the standards, monitoring and quality inspections by the Care Quality Commission. The report on our last CQC inspection is accessible through the 'Links & Downloads' panel on the right. |
