Resident Applications

Picture
With only eight places for supported residents, Gannicox is a small community and will only very infrequently have a vacancy for new supported residents. We do not keep a waiting list.

If you are interested in a potential placement you may be invited to make an initial informal visit to Gannicox Community. If you live nearby, it may be helpful to build an initial relationship through regular visits; in this way, a subsequent application will be based upon a clearer understanding of what joining Gannicox Community entails.

Gloucestershire County Council's Commissioning Team will usually be involved and leading any application process. We will require Local Authority assessments of needs and proposed support plans and an independent advocate is sometimes involved.

If the Gannicox Management Team considers that your needs and expectations match our support possibilities, and that there is a good chance that a placement may be successful, we will consult with our current supported residents, and also with St. Luke's Trust in relation to accommodation and tenancies. When decide on whether we wish to offer you a place at Gannicox. Joining the community will then be subject to signing of a service contract and adequate funding by our Local Authority Commissioners.
