Our supported individuals benefit from the urban environment and make their individual work and activity choices. Some work in a local pottery, bakery or fibre-arts workshop nearby; one person works as an assistant at Sunland's Kindergarten; individuals may engage in courses at Stroud Further Education College. All are encouraged to carry responsibility for some shared domestic tasks. We offer therapeutic and crafts activities for individuals or small groups.
At times a supported person may engage in voluntary or paid employment in the Stroud area. Our large garden with wildlife pond is one of our own work facilities that also occasionally offers an opportunity for therapeutic work for patients of the St. Luke's Therapy Centre next door. .
An important strand of our life and work is the support and fostering of life skills, individual social relationships, and expression of cultural-spiritual interests of all those who are part of this community.
